Welcome to TownVocal!
Our goal is to create a platform for local musicians, podcasters and original programming you can’t find anywhere else.
The process to become a part of the TownVocal community is very simple; we’ve created a step-by-step guide to walk you through it.
Step 1: Receive an E-mail, DM, or Text from Us
This first step is easy; you’re already here! You’ve created something worth listening to; music, a podcast, or something else that will be interesting to hear on TownVocal.
Step 2: Schedule a Quick Call or Meeting
We’d love to get to know you, your work, and how we can work well together!
If you haven’t already, please reach out to our Station Manager (stnmngr@townvocal.com) to schedule a quick phone call, video chat, or in-person meeting.
Step 3: Schedule a Recorded Interview
Don’t worry, this isn’t like a job interview. You’re already in!
A big part of TownVocal’s mission is to give the audience the chance to get to know the artists involved, in order to build a sense of community.
Our listeners want to get to know you and your background.
After our initial introduction meeting, we will:
- Schedule a face-to-face recorded interview, or send over questions to be answered remotely
- Edit the interview into bite-sized clips to play on air and on social media
Listeners won’t just get to hear your work; they’ll get to hear more about you as an artist and a member of the local community.
You’re not just a voice on the radio; you’re someone they could wave to on the street, run into at the grocery store, or even see at a local show!
Step 4: Provide Master Tracks
In order to feature your music or podcast on our station, we’ll need access to the files.
Accepted file types are .MP3, .MP2, .wav, and .m4a; you can send them via Google Drive, email, or whatever other method works best for you.
Step 5: Provide Us with any Promotional Links & Profile Information
You’re helping us build something, so we’d like to help you as well. We’d like to build an artist profile for our website, so that listeners can learn more about you and how to support your work.
Please give us any links and/or information you would like us to include in your artist profile. This could include:
- A photo of you/your band/your team
- A short bio about you and your work
- A merch site (e.g. Shopify, Redbubble, or TikTok Shop)
- A Patreon or Ko-fi
Or any other link people may use to support you.
Please email stnmngr@townvocal.com if you have any questions!
